Noriaki Kubo, aka Tite Kubo made his manga debut in 1999 with "Zombiepowder". In 2001 his series "Bleach" began it's run in the magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump", which continues to the present day. The magazine editors initially turned down "Bleach." but a letter of encouragement from Akira Toriyama, the creator of the landmark hits "Dragon Ball" and "Dragon Ball Z," lifted the mangaka's spirits and the editors finally relented. The series currently collected in more than 50 volumes is considered the most popular manga series in the World.
