Shakugan no Shana is an Anime series based on the Japanese light novel series written by Yashichiro Takahashi.  The first episode aired October 2005 with the third series commencing October 2011. The Anime series has given rise to a number of OVA episodes, an anime movie and a game released for Playstation 2 in 2006.

Shakugan No Shana follows the exploits of a dead high school student Yuuji and his new acquaintance "Shana" a sword-wielding girl in black attire with flaming red eyes and hair that glows like fire embers.  Together they battle creatures from another world in an age old fight between balance and imbalance.

Anime adaptation of a Japanese visual novel titled Muv-Luv, began airing on July 2, 2012.  For 30 years the Earth has been ravaged by an invasion of Aliens known as BETA.  Faced with the difficulties in developing the next generation of mecha or Tactical Surface Fighters, the UN proposes an international mutual development project between Japan and the United States.

As civilzation balances on the brink of annihilation, Yui Takamura, a TSF pilot of the Imperial Royal Guards of Japan, is given responsibility for the project and sets off to Alaska. Meanwhile, Yuya Bridges, also a TSF pilot of the US Army, travels to the same destination.  Neither know that their encounter will radically alter their destinies and the fate of the World.

A legend persists in the renovated Private Seikyō Academy, that once upon a time there was a girl who was left behind in the old, abandoned school building to die. Imagine the surprse then when a student Teiichi Niiya meets a beautiful, mysterious girl named Yūko Kanoe, the ghost of the ill fated student. Teiichi is determined to help the girl remember the tragic event and together they set out to discover the truth behind the gruesome legend.

Adapted from a mystery horror novel by Yukito Ayatsu, "Another" is a 12-episode anime series produced by P.A. Works and directed by Tsutomu Mizushima.

 A live-action film adaptation is set for release in Japan on August 4th 2012.

When Kōichi Sasakibara transfers to his new school he senses a tangible fear hanging over the classroom,  a secret that none will talk about.  A beautiful girl Mei Misaki seems to be at the centre of this mystery, until he realizes that no one else in the school is aware of her presence.

Anime adaptation of a novel by Manabu Kaminaga, produced by Bee Train, written by Hiroyuki Kawasaki, and directed by Tomoyuki Kurokawa began airing in Japan on October 3, 2010.
Yakumo Saitou, was born with a red left eye. which gives him the ability to see ghosts and spirits. Yakumo believes these spirits have stayed behind, bound to earth for a reason and that by talking to them he can eliminate the cause and allow them to finally rest in peace.

Steins;Gate シュタインズ ゲート is a 24 episode 2011 Anime adaptation of a Japanese visual novel game released for xbox 360 in 2009, ported to  pc in 2010, psp 2011 with a Ps3 port due May 2013. Two separate manga adaptaion began serialisation in 2009.

The series follows the trials and tribulations of a mad scientist "Rintarō Okabe" who, along with his friends rejig a microwave cooker to send text messages into the past, further developments allow the friends to travel between alternate worlds.

Guilty Crown ギルティクラウン Giruti Kuraun is a 2011 Japanese anime television series currently airing (December 2011).  It is the year 2039 and an "Apocalypse Virus"  plunges Japan into a state of emergency.  The story revolves around Shu Ouma, a boy who has acquired an ability called the "power of kings" that allows him to draw out tools or weapons from another person.

A Manga Adaption has begun serialization and a spin-off visual novel, tentatively named Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas is being developed by Nitroplus.

Madlax マドラックス  is a 26-episode Japanese anime television series produced in 2004.

The Character Madlax is a legendary mercenary and assassin who can neither remember her past or her real name. Fate draws her to the character Margaret Burton, the sole heir of a wealthy aristocratic.
