Van Helsing Movie Costume Kate Beckinsale

Gabriella Pescucci and Carlo Poggioli were at the helm for the costume design on the 2004 movie "Van Helsing" by Universal Pictures.  In the movie directed by Stephen Sommers, Kate Beckinsale takes on the role of "Anna Valerious" displaying a signature costume which includes a velvet jacket, detailed leather bustie, full length suede gators and high heeled boots.

A 2007 auction listing estimating the costume value at the time between 5 and 7 thousand dollars is far less glamourous

"....thermal under leggings, pair of suede full-length gators covering black suede Nike ACG sneakers (worn in favor of her high heeled boots in the running/action sequences), pair of brown kid gloves and, finally, a pink rubber water bottle Beckinsale used for keeping warm on the cold location shoots in Prague, Czech Republic."
